If you fancy a day off the bike then there are plenty of other things to do. You could stay active by going on one of the many great walks in the area or visit one of the many waterfalls such as at Aysgarth, Ingleton or Hardraw. There are also opportunities to be a bit more adventurous, as the Yorkshire Dales is home to some of the best caving and rock climbing in the country. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have any experience, as there are some great companies to guide you. If you need a more sedate day you can visit one of the many market towns for a bit of retail therapy, or head to Harrogate or York for the day. For some serious relaxation and pampering try the Turkish Baths in Harrogate, or to be a big kid try Forbidden Corner near Leyburn or the high ropes course at Camp Hill.
