Progress update:
In 2010, the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority reviewed the current extent and future threats from invasive species in the Park. Following consultation with partner bodies, it concluded that any control programs would have to be undertaken over an area much larger than the National Park. In the meantime, the Authority, Natural England, the Environment Agency, Forestry Commission and other bodies continue to advise and assist landowners and other organisations to manage non-native species where appropriate.
