Progress update AR9

By 2008, identify and encourage designation of a network of ‘quiet lanes’ to enhance the enjoyment of the National Park for visitors and residents, improve safety of users and to reinforce the tranquillity and landscape character of key areas.

Progress status:

Dimmed traffic light symbol showing no data available or no judgement yet made

Blank traffic lights show that this
objective has been abandoned.

Progress update:

Quiet Lanes are a tool in the kit of measures which are available to Highway Authoritites for enhancing the experience of highway users in areas of natural beauty.  Neither highway authority have any plans to introduce Quiet Lanes within the National Park area, this objective has therefore been abandoned.
