RSS podcast feeds

The RSS audio or podcast feeds that the Authority provides are listed below:

RSS feed RSS audio podcast feed - general

RSS feed RSS audio podcast feed - audio guides

If you use an audio podcast feed aggregator such as Juice, iTunes, or Doppler you can receive automatic audio downloads when they are published on the site by 'subscribing' to one of the feeds. Doing this will give you access to the audio on your MP3 player, iPod or mobile phone.

To subscribe to any of the podcasts, follow these simple instructions:

1. Right click on the podcast feed link of your coice and select 'Copy Shortcut'. If you use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, right click and select 'Copy Link Location'.

2. Open your podcast feed aggregator and paste the link into your aggregator as follows:

  • In iTunes, go to Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast and paste the link in there. The audio will be saved on your hard drive, for example in C:\... My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Podcasts.

  • In Juice, go to 'Add new feed' (or the "+" symbol).

3. You now have access to all the available audio podcasts, which will automatically be saved onto your hard drive. You can download each guide onto your MP3 player the same as you would any other audio (ie: by plugging your MP3 player into your computer via USB and transferring the audio using your compatible software).

For further information, the BBC website provides a good introductory guide to podcasts and audio downloads.
