Data protection
In the course of its work the National Park Authority may hold personal information about individuals, including staff, members, business colleagues, or members of the public.
This data will only be used for the purposes for which it was provided, unless the consent of the individual concerned is obtained. The information will be accurate and kept up to date, and will not be kept for longer than is necessary.
The Authority will employ good practice in all matters concerned with the use of personal data and will ensure that the rights of data subjects are properly respected. You can download a copy of our Data Protection Policy by clicking on the link below:
The Data Protection Act 1998 gives individuals the right to know if the Authority holds any personal data about them and, if so, what it is. You will find guidance on how to make a request for data subject access in the Data Protection Policy (see link above), or contact the Secretariat team on secretariat@yorkshiredales.org.uk.
The National Park Authority is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and annual notification is given to the Information Commissioner
