Green Communities Programme

The Yorkshire Dales LEADER Green Communities Programme

The Green Communities programme has been developed to provide free advice and support to communities within the Yorkshire Dales LEADER area.

In conjunction with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and the Energy Saving Trust, Sustainability 4 Yorkshire has employed a dedicated project coordinator. The coordinator is working alongside selected communities for up to two years to help them to understand their carbon footprint and develop a realistic action plan to reduce it.

The communities participating in the project are:

  • Clapham

  • Grassington and Threshfield

  • Horton in Ribblesdale and Stainforth

  • Malhamdale

  • Raydale

As well as supporting these communities there may be scope to help others with carbon saving projects.
